Sprinkler Valve & Solenoid Repair in Auburn

Valves are the traffic cops of your sprinkler system — each one opens to send water to a zone, then closes when that zone's turn is done. When a valve fails, you get the two most common irrigation headaches: a zone that's totally dead, or one that runs and runs and won't stop.

Signs of a valve or solenoid problem

• A zone won't come on at all — often a dead solenoid (the electric coil on top of the valve) or a broken wire.
• A zone won't shut off — usually debris in the valve or a worn diaphragm holding it open. On a slope this can wash out mulch and soil fast, so it's worth a quick call.
• Weak flow or a zone that barely trickles — a valve that's only opening partway, or low incoming pressure on a well system.
• Water bubbling up near the valve box — a cracked valve body or a leaking fitting.
• A faint buzzing at the controller — a shorted solenoid drawing too much current.

How we track it down

We test each valve's solenoid electrically, check the controller's output to that zone, and inspect the valve for debris and worn parts. On older Auburn systems we also look for corroded wire connections in the valve box — a classic cause of a zone that "just stopped working." Rocky ground and buried boxes can make valves harder to reach, but we find them. Once we know exactly what failed, you get an upfront price before we touch anything.

Repair or replace?

Many valves can be rebuilt with a new diaphragm or solenoid for a fraction of a full replacement. If the valve body is cracked or the valve is ancient, we'll tell you straight — sometimes a clean replacement is the better long-term value.
